pray
“Pray, pray, pray!” - Medjugorje
Our day is punctuated by times of prayer, and this rhythm of prayer is the breath of our community life. Our prayer takes various forms: Morning and Evening Prayer of the Church, the Rosary, Praise and Worship, Lectio Divina, Intercession and the Way of the Cross. At the heart of our community is the Eucharist, Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament in our chapel. Holy Mass is the high point of our day and we set aside time for Eucharistic Adoration.
serve
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” - 1 Peter 4:8-11
We choose to use our gifts, spiritual and natural, to support one another and the mission of Craig Lodge. We welcome one another into our families and homes. We extend this hospitality to all those who the Lord brings to Craig Lodge and especially to the young people who come to share our community life. We volunteer our time to support the work of Craig Lodge in many different ways whether lending a hand with the washing up or offering prayer ministry to those on retreat. We pray and intercede for the all the ministries that flow out of Craig Lodge.
evangelise
“My children, I am gathering you as my apostles and am teaching you how to bring others to come to know the love of my Son; how to bring to them the Good News, which is my Son.” - Medjugorje
We choose to be witnesses to the good news of salvation. We recognise that this may be chiefly through our way of life; the values we choose to live by are a silent witness to our faith in Jesus. We also engage in more active forms of evangelisation so that all people have the opportunity to encounter the saving love of God. As we serve the Craig Lodge mission we are always ready to share how God has revealed his love to us. We want to be carriers of hope and joy to others.
